The factory gets off spreadsheets — production becomes visible
Most small manufacturers in Israel run production, stock and logistics on spreadsheets and whiteboards — until orders slip and raw materials run out mid-production. AB Sync builds simple production-management systems and automations for small and mid-sized manufacturers: every order becomes a production task with a status, stock alerts fire before materials run out, and the team gets real-time updates.
Why do full ERP systems not fit a small factory?
Full ERP systems were built for corporations: months of implementation, six-figure costs, and screens that need a full-time systems person. A factory of 5–50 people needs something else — a lean system covering exactly its processes: orders, production, stock, deliveries. We build that on modern tools like Airtable combined with automations, at a fraction of the cost and rollout time.
What can be improved in the first month?
What happens at almost every factory we meet:
- A new order automatically opens as a production task with a delivery date and status
- An alert when a raw material drops below its threshold — before it stops production
- Shop-floor updates on Telegram or WhatsApp instead of runs between office and floor
- A visual production board everyone sees — what is in work, what is stuck, what ships today
- An automatic weekly report: output, delays, utilisation
Example automations we build
-
Airtable Production order management
Every order automatically becomes a production task with a status and delivery timeline.
-
Google Sheets Raw material tracking
An automatic alert whenever an item drops below the minimum threshold you set.
-
Telegram Shop floor alerts
Updates on faults, delays and completed orders go straight to the team.
-
Trello Visual work board
Tasks move automatically between production stages based on actual progress.
Frequently asked questions
Our workers are not computer people. Will they manage?
The systems are built exactly for that — simple Hebrew screens, one button to update a status, and alerts that reach the phone every worker already has. If the team knows WhatsApp, they will know how to work with this.
We already have accounting software. Will the system clash with it?
No — it complements it. Accounting keeps handling invoices and VAT; our system manages what you do not have today: production, stock and operations. And where needed, we connect the two.
How long until it works?
A basic production-management system goes live within a few weeks, including migrating data from the existing spreadsheets. It then grows gradually with what proves itself on the floor.
What does it cost?
A lean operations system for a small factory starts in the low tens of thousands of shekels — an order of magnitude below traditional ERP. In the diagnostic call we map your processes and you get a structured proposal.
